Arriving to Colombo
No matter where you are joining us from, we recommend arriving in Colombo by afternoon on Saturday, February 7 2026.
All flights land at Bandaranaike International Airport, 30 minutes to The Galle Face Hotel. All nationalities, including Indian passport holders, must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) or equivalent visa/ permit before arrival.
What is an ETA?: It is a single entry e-visa or travel permit, which essentially functions as a visa-on-arrival for tourism.
Where to apply: Apply online using the official Sri Lanka ETA Portal.
Processing Time: Typically approved within 24 hours. However, some applications may take up to 48 hours, so applying at least 3 days in advance is recommended.
Documentation: Valid passport for over 6 months (from date of arrival) with flight and accomodation details. Please reach out to us if you require an invitation letter or proof of stay for the days of the wedding.
Visa/ETA fee: Indian citizens get the ETA free of charge under the visa-free pilot program. There is a fee of $20 per visa for US passport holders. For other nationalities, please visit the website for specific requirements.
